Pine
Ridge Mission Trip
In Pine Ridge, South Dakota
we have served recently with an ecumenical group called
Re-Member. In 2005 and 2004 a group of about ten persons from
our congregation has journeyed to the Pine Ridge Reservation and
worked with Re-Member to build and place beds in the homes of
the Lakota people. This is one of the absolute poorest counties
in the nation. We will also spend significant time meeting
Lakota people and groups in the community and learning about
them, their history and the region in which they live.
