Blessings by the box..
Angel Food’s groceries are sold in quantity that can fit into a
medium sized box at $25 per unit. Each
month’s menu is
different from the previous month and consists of both fresh and
frozen items, including meats, vegetables, eggs and milk. Each
box has an average retail value of over $60. Generally, one unit
of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week
for a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is all
the same high quality you would purchase at a grocery store.
There are no second-hand items, no damaged or outdated goods, no
dented cans without labels, no day old breads and no produce
that is almost too ripe. Also offered are specialty boxes such
as steaks, chicken and pork. Many participants in this bonus
program appreciate the expanded choices. Additionally, there is
no limit to the number of units or bonus foods an individual can
purchase. Angel Food Ministries, like most retail grocery
stores, also participates in U.S. Food Stamp Program, using the
Off-Line Food Stamp Voucher system.
About Us...
Angel Food Ministries, a non-profit, non-denominational
organization is dedicated to providing grocery relief to
communities throughout the U.S. The program is based in Monroe,
Georgia and began in 1994, serving 34 families from the trunk of
a car. Today, God has multiplied this outreach effort, providing
a quality, low cost grocery supplement to nearly 500,000
families across 32 states each month. Tecumseh First
Presbyterian is excited about offering this tangible ministry to
our members, the Tecumseh community, and all of Lenawee County.
How it works...
Food sales and distribution are handled by the First
Presbyterian Church. Orders and payments are collected during
the first part of each month. Volunteers from the church pick up
the food and prepare for Distribution Day. Customers then come
to the church on Distribution Day to pick-up their food,
bringing their receipt, ID, and their own boxes or bags to be
filled. All food not picked up on Distribution Day will be
donated.

*Only $25 per unit
*Food Stamps,- Bridge Cards, and Works Cards are accepted.
*There are no applications or qualifications; ANYONE & EVERYONE
can participate in the program.
*These are fresh quality products provided by the same
distributors that supply local grocery chains.
*Each month’s menu is different.
*ORDERS ARE PREPAID BY CASH, MONEY ORDER, FOOD STAMPS, BRIDGE OR
WORKS CARDS ONLY --- SORRY, NO CHECKS ACCEPTED.
